Unit 3 Is This Your Skirt？Part A Let’s learn

　　Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen!

　　I am very glad to be standing here and talking about Unit 3,which is from PEP Primary English Book 4.

　　Background of English teaching in primary school: It is not a long history that English as a subject in primary school in our country and the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Our boys and girls are exposed to English for only two years, so it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.

　　Part 1 To analyze the book

　　1. There are 6 units in Book 4. This is Unit 3. The central item is learn the new words. How to express your favourite clothes and how to talk with others about your clothes.

　　2. According to the teaching outline and combining the students ’ situation , I make the teaching aims of this lesson as follows .

　　a. The first is the aim of knowledge.

　　It’s to learn unit’s words and sentences. With this knowledge, the students try to learn how to contact with the others.

　　b. The second is the aim of abilities.

　　Talk with others fluently and freely. Beside I will try to train the students listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.

　　c. The third is the aim of emotion.

　　Make the students have successful feeling and achievement. And make them have rigorous scholarship and try to learn how to contact with the others.

　　To foster Students’consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

　　3. Important points

　　The first is to master the words about unit 3.For example: brown jacket,white sweater,green skirt,red shirt,blue dress and yellow T-shirt.

　　4. Difficult points.

　　With this words and sentences ,talk with others fluently and freely.

　　Part 2 Teaching and learning methods

　　As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Students learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Students to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange three kinds of activities: singing, guessing game and show time.

　　Part 3 Teaching aids

　　In order to interest the students. I’ll use the CAI as my teaching aids.

　　I know, this lesson has a few mistakes, for example: My speed is fast. From now on, I’ll correct this mistake.
